Luke Humphries has withdrawn from the 2026 European Championship after being diagnosed with gastroenteritis. The world No 2 was set to make his sixth appearance in Dortmund, having finished as runner-up last year. Under PDC rules, Humphries will be directly replaced in the field by Kim Huybrechts, the highest-ranked non-qualified player in the 2026 European Tour rankings.

Hi everyone and welcome to the second evening of action in Dortmund as world No 1 Luke Littler prepares to face Willie O'Connor and the fierce German crowd. What kind of reception will he get tonight? The 19-year-old, who is braced for another hostile crowd in Germany, is suffering a drought by his standards, having failed to win the World Series of Darts Finals and the World Grand Prix.

Michael van Gerwen, Jonny Clayton and Wessel Nijman join Littler in action as the opening round concludes in Dortmund.
